Our family loves to travel and explore new places.  Sometimes it is a short visit, sometimes it is an extended stay. In our world, Basecamp is where we go to recenter, regroup, and recharge between adventures. Our grounding place.

At work, basecamps are how we support people on the fireline.  My personal favorite are spike camps—more remote to do targeted work on a part of a wildfire, they tend to feel more connected and personal than some of our larger camps.
